Artist spotlight on....
Dutch Hill Pottery
by Pamela V. Delyannis & Gregory Ricciardiello
Dutch Hill Pottery is nestled among the hills of Allegany County, New York. The pottery is housed on an old farmstead dating back to the 1850's. It is the home of the two potters and their children.
Pamela and Gregory work together creating a line of stoneware pottery for the home and garden. The work is marketed through fine craft galleries, fine craft shows, and an annual open studio in Octover with the Allegany Artisans.
The work is made in limited editions and many one of kind pieces. It is meant to be used and enjoyed. The potter is wheel thrown or hand constructed out of slabs and coils. The artists mix and formulate their own glazes, firing the work to 2,200' in their studio kilns.
All pieces are food safe and can be used in the dishwasher and microwave. Pamela and Gregory are constantly evolving and changing as they try new ideas and build on existing ones. |
